What the role is

Fi@Gov is the public sector’s one stop finance analytics platform and is used by more than 2,000 users across the Whole-of-Government.

What you will be working on

• User Experience & Analytics • Work directly with public finance/Internal audit officers & other stakeholders (e.g. vendors) to co-create data analytics use cases with agencies &/or develop central solutions for public sector finance • Shape the future of Fi@Gov, the whole-of-government finance analytics platform, by gathering user insights and translating them into improved dashboard features and analytical capabilities for existing suite of central dashboard(s)/report(s) • Data Engineering & Integration • Help build Singapore's whole-of-Government finance data ecosystem by harmonising data across ministries, statutory boards, and organs of state • Enhance data quality through cleaning processes and documentation, ensuring our data warehouse serves as a reliable foundation for government-wide analysis • System Enhancement • Learn how Fi@Gov, the whole-of-government finance analytics platform operates • Support improvements to Fi@Gov's user management and performance • Help enhance our e-Form platform's automated workflows • Create dashboards using MicroStrategy to support Fi@Gov governance & operations • Machine Learning & AI • Get hands-on experience with real-world AI/machine learning projects using Python and Amazon SageMaker • Financial Operations • Gain practical experience in government budget administration through supporting FDA Budget representatives on managing the directorate’s budget. • Learn about financial management processes in the public sector What You'll Learn About • End-to-end data analytics project lifecycle from a whole-of-government enterprise platform perspective • Advanced dashboard design principles • AI applications development • Government finance operations • Cross-agency collaboration • Data & System governance best practices

What we are looking for

Technical Skills: • Proficiency in basic office productivity tools, such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint; • Prior experience with any of the leading BI tools in the market (e.g. MicroStrategy, Tableau, Qliksense, Qlikview, Power BI) is advantageous; • Hands-on experience with at least one programming language e.g. SQL or Python is advantageous. Attributes & Soft Skills: • Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies to accomplish the assigned tasks. • Meticulous in ensuring data/information accuracy. • Enthusiastic to learn and embrace new challenges. • Able to clarify when in doubt, especially to manage expectations and to prioritise tasks as required. • Able to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks. • Organised individual with good interpersonal and communication skills (presentation and writing);
