What you will be working on

You will be involved in technical aspects related to the leasing of HDB commercial properties and social communal facilities (SCF). This includes: a. Co-ordinate with appointed managing and marketing agents for site visits/viewings of existing vacant and/or new : • Commercial units by e-bidding prospects/tenderers; • Commercial units at Neighbourhood Centres (NCs), shopping and office complexes by prospects/ tenderers; • SCF units for Government Agencies/Social Service Agencies prospects. b. Address enquires from prospects/tenderers/SCF applicants on the technical provisions related to the different designated trades assigned to respective vacant precincts, NCs or social communal units (e.g. enquiries into loading capacity, request for additional electrical load from successful e-bidders/tenderers/SCF applicants). This includes working with the project teams and/or relevant Technical Groups/Departments for advice/inputs for new builds and existing developments, identifying and giving inputs to the Technical Dept for them to initiate feasibility studies on sites (precinct, town or NCs) that may require technical improvements and upgrading. c. Perform the following: • Proficient in CADD Software to scale relevant vacant commercial/SCF units (mentioned in (a)) for e-bidding/tenders; • Liaise with other Depts to verify the units’ boundary to determine the lettable area before scaling; • Demarcate relevant vacant commercial/SCF units for marketing; • Liaise with TCs on siting of ATMs/AXS machines, including issuance of TOLs; • Onboard and upload plans into the HDB P2L system; d. For new and existing HDB Neighbourhood Centres (NCs) / shopping and office complexes: • Provide technical inputs, if relevant; • Co-ordinate and attend site meetings/viewings with consultants, marketing agents, internal and external parties on technical provisions; • Attend to technical queries from marketing agents prospects/tenderer / tenant’s appointed consultant and seek inputs from the project teams and/or relevant Technical Group / Department; • Liaise and coordinate with consultants on unit marketing plans and technical specifications, etc; • Attend to ad-hoc urgent viewings as and when required.

What we are looking for

As you will be taking on a supervisory role in-charge of two other TEs, you will need at least 6 years of relevant working experience in leasing, project and facility management. You will need to liaise with the managing and marketing agents and follow up on prospect’s technical queries and resolution. You will also be required to engage prospects and stakeholders regularly to obtain feedback and improve on our delivery. You should have a good background in M&E Engineering, Building Management, Building and Real Estate Management, Building and Property Management or Building Services Engineering and possess at least 5 years of relevant working experience in ensuring that commercial units are in compliance with FSSD, and all relevant authorities’ regulations according to the type of trades operating from these units. Qualifications in Electrical & Electronics Engineering will be an advantage, having CADD/drafting experience and an ability to understand design and visualise the built environment from 2-D design proposals and technical drawings is also needed. You should be meticulous and independent, have a pleasant disposition, effective communication skills, good interpersonal skills and a passion for service delivery in addition to being highly-organised, self-driven, and able to multi-task with a high volume workload under stressful and fast-paced environment. You should also be familiar with local statutory requirements pertaining to managing commercial properties. You should have strong technical problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand and provide inputs (if required/relevant) for feasibility studies on mechanical, electrical & building components and systems.
