The Rehabilitation and Protection Group (RPG) provides services for the rehabilitation of adult and youth offenders and the protection of children and families. What you will be working on

Brief description of Job Scope: Reporting to the Senior Assistant Director, you will be part of the Adoption team of PSV which has oversight of matters pertaining to adoption. Responsibilities: As the Senior Manager, you will: • Contribute to developing and implementing processes for the child welfare sector and strengthen the role of families in the face of evolving trends and life’s challenges, where relevant. • Be involved in assessing the suitability of adoption applicants referred by the Courts and work in collaboration with a network of sector professionals. You will also be involved in the development and implementation of new processes that will enhance the Adoption team’s service delivery for the adoption process. • Ensure that your team is effectively carrying out their tasks, in accordance with established SOPs • Where needed, provide coaching, guidance and supervision to staff to ensure they can perform at the level as per expectations • Need to work closely with different teams within RPG • Arrange for regular meetings with AD to provide updates in a timely manner and seeks consults for complicated cases • Collate data and monitor trends in order to develop work processes to problem-solve pain points. • Be assigned any other ad-hoc tasks/projects (e.g intra or inter-branch committees; workgroups; assist other teams within Adoption as needed)

What we are looking for

Requirements: Functional/Technical Competencies • Background in human services related field or criminology will be an advantage • Experience in human services or those with investigative experience will be an added advantage Generic Competencies • Leadership skills • Strong analytical, writing, communication, problem solving skills with a deep passion to safeguard the welfare of children. • Self- directed, proactive, forward thinking, adaptive to change and able to work in a fast-paced setting. • Excellent time management skills, and an ability to influence change and work well with others.
