The candidate will support the Transformation team in revamping the Intranet for better collaboration and information sharing, with a view to strengthen the effectiveness of internal communications, drive employee engagement and shape organisational culture.
The candidate will be involved in:
(a) SharePoint Online development and implementation: Supporting the development of SharePoint Online pages on the MND Intranet, implementing recommendations arising from the UI/UX study conducted with RP. The candidate will create and configure pages that enhance user experience and align with the new information architecture.
(b) Custom scripting and automation development: Utilising scripting languages (such as Python, JavaScript, or Power Automate) to create automated workflows, custom web parts, and enhanced functionality for SharePoint pages. The candidate will apply their IT development background to implement technical solutions in other IT projects.
(c) Content migration and organisation: Assisting in auditing existing intranet content, identifying outdated or redundant information, and supporting the migration of relevant content to new page structures whilst ensuring information remains accessible during the transition period.
(d) User testing and feedback collection: Helping to conduct user acceptance testing of new intranet pages, gathering feedback from staff through surveys, and documenting user experience issues to inform iterative improvements to the intranet designs.
(e) Reviewing and analysing the current information architecture of the intranet to identify areas for improvement.
If required, the candidate may support the team in:
(f) Designing internal communications content e.g. EDMs, infographics, bite-sized videos, etc.
(g) Providing administrative and logistical support for staff engagement activities.

Familiarity with fundamental web development concepts such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, which are commonly used in customizing SharePoint Online, and experience with graphic design tools such as Canva, would be an advantage.
