What the role is

As a Digital Artist in the Curriculum Planning and Development Division 2, you will be part of a team creating engaging visual and interactive content for learning resources that enhance student learning experiences through illustration, graphic design, animation and interactive media objects.

What you will be working on

• Collaborate closely with project managers and resource developers to understand requirements and conceptualise storyboarding • Develop sketches, storyboards, illustrations, graphics and animation across various media platforms (e.g., print textbooks, websites and learning portals), translating art briefs into learning resources and ensuring all project specifications and quality standards are met • Design and develop engaging interactive media objects including courseware, simulations and games • Ensure animations align with script narratives and soundtrack requirements, maintaining seamless integration of visual and audio elements • Research contemporary design trends and production best practices to recommend appropriate visual styles, layouts, and design elements • Manage, supervise and coordinate the work of external vendors for outsourced creative projects, ensuring quality standards and timely delivery

What we are looking for

• Relevant background in illustration, graphic design, animation and interactive media object production • Proficiency in industry-standard production software including Adobe Creative Suite and relevant design and authoring tools • Creative and resourceful team player with good communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously • Strong portfolio demonstrating versatility across illustration, graphic design, animation and interactive media objects.
