Deputy Director / Digital Communications

What the role is

You will join the dynamic communications team responsible for positioning Singapore as a City in Nature. You will lead a team of digital media specialists to develop and implement comprehensive digital communications strategies that create awareness of NParks and foster greater appreciation of its projects, programmes and causes.

What you will be working on

As an experienced communications leader, you will oversee content management across social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Telegram, and YouTube. You will lead the creation of diverse content including video series, podcasts, infographics, and innovative outreach materials whilst managing strategic collaborations with external content publishers and key opinion leaders.

Your crisis and issues management responsibilities include monitoring social media sentiment, developing rapid response protocols for incidents and guiding the team on daily sentiment analysis. Additionally, you will serve as the internal digital communications consultant to operational divisions, advising on content strategies, engagement approaches, and campaign execution. Ensuring compliance across all digital touchpoints, you will maintain adherence to government guidelines, data protection regulations, and brand standards.

What we are looking for

  • Areas of study in Mass Communications, Marketing, Digital Media, English or related field

  • Minimum 10 years' relevant public & digital communications experience with demonstrated leadership capabilities

  • Proven experience managing multi-platform social media strategies and crisis communications

  • Strong understanding of government compliance requirements, data protection, and accessibility standards

  • Exceptional content creation skills across multimedia formats with a flair for engaging storytelling

  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with excellent command of English
