What the role is
What you will be working on
Academic duties
Develop and improve the content of modules you are assigned to teach and deliver for full-time and part-time learners
Be competent to conduct teaching and delivery of modules in classroom and online setting
Lead in the integration across modules to achieve the course objectives.
Initiate and experiment with new pedagogies or learning technologies to enhance curriculum delivery.
Non Academic duties
Administers, reviews and develops sub-systems to support operations
Duties and responsibilities that may arises to support curriculum development and currency
Solves operational problems to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness
Supervises junior team members to ensure smooth operations
What we are looking for
At least 3 years of demonstrated local work experience.
Well versed in AutoCAD, Revit/BIM and 3-D modelling, SketchUp and Office software. Knowledge of Rhino is an advantage.
Possess an accredited graduate degree in Architecture (M. Arch or equivalent), demonstrate past professional architectural design. Conversant with Local Authorities’ regulations and compliances.
Must have strong communication skills in written, oral and graphic form, and have an inherent passion to teach students both in physical classrooms and online learning environment.
Candidate should be competent to plan, develop and teach at least three of the following areas:
Design Studio
Architectural Tectonics and Sustainable Building Technologies
Computer Aided Design & Building Information Modeling
Architectural and Building Environmental Systems
Design Simulation & Performance Modeling
Parametric & Computational Design
Green Building Technology & System
Smart & Sustainable Urban System
Architectural Practice, Compliance & Regulations
Besides teaching full time diploma students, the lecturer may also be required to teach some modules in Part-Time Diploma/short courses to learners who are working adults and conducted in the evenings from 6pm – 10pm.
