Associate (Strategic Communications & Engagement)

What the role is

You will be part of a dynamic team supporting stakeholder engagements involving unions, businesses, sector leaders, community groups, and the wider public to gather feedback. You will assist in synthesising data from various sources including feedback from the ground, polling data etc to form insights to guide policy development. You will also assist in the red teaming of sensitive issues and announcements to anticipate public reactions and advise on effective communications strategies.

What you will be working on

• Assist in planning, organising and documenting engagement sessions, dialogues, and consultations to gather views on national priorities and spending needs. • Synthesize data from various sources including ground feedback, polling data etc into insights that inform policy development. • Drive efforts to enhance public understanding of trade-offs, foster constructive dialogue, and support consensus-building on challenging national issues. • Work closely with policy divisions to maintain strong partnerships with key stakeholders and cultivate platforms for sustained collaboration. • Support red teaming of sensitive policy issues and major Government announcements to anticipate public reactions, identify risks, and strengthen communications strategies. • Part of the team to provide staffing support for MOF POHs

What we are looking for

• One to two years of experience in stakeholder engagement and/or stakeholder management. • A keen interest in and strong awareness of current affairs and national issues. • Self-motivated and meticulous, with ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and with tight deadlines. • Team player with strong communication, interpersonal, organisational and project management skills. • Good command of the English language, with strong written and verbal communications skills. • Proven ability to analyse data and present insights effectively.
