What the role is

The URA Planning Policies department drives policy formulation and development of strategic land use and infrastructure plan to guide Singapore’s physical development. The intern will be attached to the Planning Policies department.

What you will be working on

The intern will undertake the following key tasks: 1) Support the Long Island project team in various areas of work, including planning and execution of stakeholder engagements, review of feedback/ideas to inform future plans 2) Support policy OICs in various policy studies and reviews in consultation with other teams within URA as well as external partner agencies The intern is expected to reap the following learning outcomes: • Develop better understanding of key land use planning strategies and considerations in Singapore. • Distil insights and apply research outcomes to inform agencies’ plans and policies. • Acquire practical knowledge and experience in public engagement.

What we are looking for

NOTE: To facilitate the hiring process, please state your availability (part-time or full-time), including specific start and end date in your resume or application form. • Interns who are able to commit between Jan - Aug 2025 for 3-6 months. Full-time internship preferred. • Undergraduates or Postgraduates pursuing Geography, Urban Studies/Planning, Environmental Science or related fields. • Familiarity with design tools such as Canva and GenAI tools such as mid-journey etc. is a bonus We regret to inform that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
