Asst Mgr, Infrastructure Planning & Development - 5 mths contract

What the role is

NAC's Infrastructure Planning & Development develop arts infrastructure frameworks in partnership with key government agencies to diversify spaces for the arts in Singapore and work with venue owners to integrate the arts into the Civic District and Bras Basah Bugis precincts.

What you will be working on

This contract staff member will primarily support infrastructure development projects for NAC premises in support of Arts Plan 2.0.

The staff member will provide support in processing and managing development contracts, procurement, and ensuring proper project documentation. They will handle project management secretariat duties and take on additional roles as necessary.

Key duties include:

  • Support infrastructure projects through procurement processing, documentation maintenance, and secretariat duties for project meetings

  • Assist the team with contract management, tender preparation, project scheduling, budget management, and maintaining contractual records; liaise with Vital for publishing tender opportunities and related documentation

  • Provide administrative support for departmental budgetary management and reporting

  • Perform secretariat duties for infrastructure projects

  • Support the contracts manager in strengthening the contract variations process

  • Handle other assigned tasks as needed

As new work streams emerge from Arts Plan 2.0, the contract staff member will provide additional support as required.

What we are looking for

  • At least 2 years of experience in project/contract management in development projects.

  • Experience in public sector development projects would be advantageous.

  • Well versed in government procurement instruction manual with hands-on experience.

  • An interest in the arts will be advantageous as well.

  • Experience in public sector procurement process (ie, Gebiz, IM)

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite applications.

  • Independent, meticulous and detail oriented.

  • Proactive thinking when executing tasks.

  • Good communication skills, good interpersonal skills, and strength in coordination meetings, tasks and work assigned.
