Senior Executive (Financial Operations & Control)

What the role is

We are seeking a Senior/Finance Executive to perform financial functions across accounts receivable, banking operations, and grant administration. The ideal candidate should possess strong attention to detail and good organisational skills. This role will be responsible for managing collections and revenue recognition, overseeing daily banking operations and cash flow monitoring, and administering government grants in coordination with stakeholders.

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Finance Department, the incumbent will support financial operations to ensure:

What you will be working on

Accounts Receivable and Collections

  • Manage collections and associated activities including monitor and process receipts for various licence fees, penalty collections and sponsorships

  • Maintain accurate accounting records for revenue recognition and perform reconciliation

  • Create and maintain customer records

  • Prepare month-end balance sheet schedules for receivables and deposits

Banking and Cash Operations

  • Monitor daily funding requirements, bank balances and payment flows to ensure adequate liquidity

  • Process banking transactions and maintain accurate accounting records for funds transfers, interest income monitoring, investments, debt and other banking activities

  • Support banking administration including maintenance of bank accounts, internet banking facilities, bank mandates and application for banking services

  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations, identify and investigate variances between bank statements and accounting records

Grant Administration and Other Finance Duties

  • Support grant administration including coordination with various stakeholders and prepare grant reimbursement for billing purposes

  • Ensure grant expenditure claims are within the approved grant budget  

  • Participate in process improvement projects for grant administration and financial operations

  • Review and approve asset registrations and disposals

  • Coordinate annual disposal of department physical records beyond retention periods

  • Support external and internal audits, where required

  • Undertake any other ad hoc assignments, including covering for team members during their absence

What we are looking for

Requirements:

  • Education in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field

  • Preferably 2 – 5 years of working experience in finance operations

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with Workday will be advantageous

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial processing and record-keeping

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective liaison with internal and external stakeholders

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
