What the role is

The Senior Manager (Projects & Operations) will assist Assistant Director (Projects & Operations) and Deputy Director (Projects & Operations) in planning and managing the ‘Our Chingay, Step In’ campaign in support of Chingay’s road to UNESCO. He/She will need to work closely with the different units within ACD such as the Chingay Creative, Production, Marcoms and with internal PA Divisions, external organisations and stakeholders including the private, people and public sectors to deliver a successful implementation of the campaign.

He/She will support the Chingay Creative, Production and Operations team to organise the annual Chingay Parade as a key national level project of PA in bringing people together through building and bridging communities, promoting racial harmony and appreciation of our diverse cultures.

He/She will also be involved in organising other national and People’s Association (PA) events and projects. For example, the PA NDP Performing Contingent.

What you will be working on

  • Network, liaise and work closely with internal and external stakeholders including government agencies, participating organisations and PA Divisions/Grassroots Organisations pertaining to ‘Our Chingay, Step In’ campaign and Chingay/Chingay related activities.

  • Plan and organise ACD special projects, ensuring that quality control is maintained at all times for events organised by ACD so as to project a professional image.

For ‘Our Chingay, Step In’ campaign and Chingay Parade

  • Work with government agencies such as National Heritage Board (NHB) to organise milestone media events as part of campaign.
  • Assist with production of video contents including sourcing and collation of materials, pre-recording of performances and other preparation support.

  • Organise the wider public engagement (physical and digital) campaign for the nomination which includes organising and coordinating of ad-hoc Chingay projects that enable participation by the community and provide support for logistic, operation and administrative matters.

  • Serves as the main point of contact from the organisation (i.e. PA) and perform administrative duties including note taking, procurement, budget and preparation of financial reports.

  • Attend all meetings, conferences and workshops pertaining to the nomination and be the main point of contact from the organisation (i.e. PA) and perform administrative duties including note taking, procurement, budget and preparation of financial reports.

  • Serve as a production manager to Chingay performing groups, coordinating the groups’ participation in the Chingay Parade and its rehearsals as well as related fringe events by providing administrative and technical support with regards to choreography, training, costumes, floats, props, sound and lighting etc, to ensure their items meet the acceptable standard of the parade.

For PA NDP Performing Contingent

  •  Assist in the recruitment, management and presentation of PA NDP performing contingent to showcase the harmonious and multi-culturalism of Singapore.

  • . Oversee the budget to ensure that the team works within the budget allocated.

  • Able to work independently and well under pressure, as well as tight timelines; willing to work long and irregular hours and on weekends
