What the role is

You will be part of Enterprise Singapore’s Trade group that drives international trading for Singapore and enhances Singapore’s position as a global trading hub.

What you will be working on

Grant Processing

In this role, you will oversee the financial aspects of project submissions. You will:

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, Government’s regulations and policy manuals
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders on audit, policy and process-related queries
  • Ensure accuracy on applicants’ expense submissions and check against proof of payments (e.g. receipts for projects) 

Support carbon market team

In this role, you will support the carbon market team in the execution of strategy to grow a global and robust carbon market. You will:

Support Banyan Coalition Secretariat operations and public communications execution

  • Coordinate weekly meetings with founding members of Coalition, including preparation of meeting agendas, compilation of briefing materials, documentation of decisions, track and follow up on action items with related parties
  • Coordinate any other ad-hoc engagements with coalition buyers, such as roadshows and meetings
  • Manage and liaise with vendors, such as legal and media services, to ensure timely and quality delivery of contracted services
  • Provide support on media relations activities, including executing media strategies, coordinating press communications and media inquiries.
  • Manage event including venue selection, vendor management, and coordination of logistical requirements. 

Support carbon team on business development efforts

  • Update EnterpriseSG’s website on carbon hub, to ensure current and accurate information is displayed across all pages, including coordinating with relevant stakeholders to gather content updates and implement technical updates
  • Support with planning of business missions, including liaising with participants and coordinating materials
  • Maintain and update a database of key opinion leaders, carbon trading firms and ecosystem players engaged in Singapore and overseas

What we are looking for

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Ability to understand financial statements and verify financial entries
  • Competency in sense-making and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently, and also to work with/well with a team
  • Competency and experience with supporting teams to manage projects
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • A relevant field of study in Accountancy or related disciplines, which would be an advantage
  • A strong attention to details (detail-oriented) and is meticulous
  • Experience in front-facing situations managing external companies and their representatives, including handling difficult customers with tact and firmness
  • An ability to work well across multiple internal teams
