What the role is
We are seeking a candidate with genuine enthusiasm and interest in artificial intelligence (AI) and related technologies to join our team to explore the use of AI in the sector. In this role, you will be involved in exciting projects from creating a digital ecosystem of linked heritage data, enhancing business productivity, facilitating research, to designing learning experiences for members of the public to enjoy.
What you will be working on
Stakeholder Management: Analyse stakeholder needs and design solutions that deliver measurable business value. Collaborate with business users to define specifications and design feasible AI-driven improvements.
AI Solutioning: Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML applications, leveraging on market available/out-of-the-box solutions to validate business needs and to ensure scalable implementation across various platforms.
Data Science (Data Quality & Data Analysis): Lead comprehensive data preparation activities including data collection, cleaning, validation, and transformation. Conduct thorough reviews of data quality, establish data governance practices, and ensure datasets meet the requirements for AI model development and deployment.
Coordinating cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and technical resources. Develop project timelines, monitor progress against milestones, manage risks, and ensure successful delivery.
Stay up to date with technology advancements, keeping in mind any potential uses for the organisation.
What we are looking for
Background in Computer Science, Information Technology/Systems, or related fields would be advantageous.
Intermediate competency in Python or similar programming languages, and familiarity with database handling with SQL and NoSQL.
Good understanding of AI/ML and data engineering concepts and fundamentals.
Experience in AI/ML development as well as delivering proof-of-concepts is preferred, and candidates without experience but are able to demonstrate interest and development in this area are welcome to apply.
Familiarity and experience with using latest AI/ML and related technologies.
Strong communications skills, particularly with regards to conveying technical information to non-technical users.
