AI Research & Development Intern, Registry of Trade Marks

What you will be working on

The intern will assist Registry of Trade Marks in our AI research & development and solutioning endeavours, and statistical reporting and analysis. As such, the intern would be assisting across two broad categories; the intern is expected to take on one task each under a. and b. below. a. Potential Projects i) Developing and exploring the application of AI to existing use cases e.g., Classification of Goods & Services Assistant ii) User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of AI-enabled examination assistant tool, to augment existing examination processes iii) Research studies • Conducting landscape studies to obtain new insights (area of study TBD) • Database-building for research purposes b. Statistics i) Improving existing data reporting and extraction methods via current platforms ii) Setting groundwork for department’s future data analytics needs, working with a data retrieval and visualisation system • Mapping data between two platforms • Ensuring accuracy of data reflected on each platform

What we are looking for

a. Intern to be in either year 3 or 4 of university b. Any discipline, with an inclination towards data or AI c. Able to commit 3 months and above
