What the role is

You assist in the design and upkeep of the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF)'s software architecture and archetypes.

What you will be working on

- Align software standards across the SAF s to ensure interoperability, sustainability, agility and security - Focus on systems for warfighting and operations - Assess large amounts of information and filter out critical information for decision making - Synergise inputs from multiple domains into coherent picture Challenge(s) - Operating at both strategic and tactical levels - Understanding complex digital landscape coupled with master planning on multi-year spending - Making clear decisions on ad-hoc basis - Galvanising different stakeholders across MINDEF/SAF and Whole-of-Government (WOG) to work together

What we are looking for

- Education in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field - At least 6 years of working experience in Digital and IT capabilities such as Data Analytics, Machine Learning, Cloud Computing, 5G - Familiarity with developments in digital domain whilst constantly overlaying military and operational slant - Good interpersonal skills to work with wide range of external and internal stakeholders - Ability to draw insights on key changes needed to improve Software Architecture and Standards for the SAF - Good communication skills to communicate complex technical issues to multiple stakeholders across MINDEF/Singapore Armed Forces spectrum, including commanders and senior leaders Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
