Media Relations Intern [CMCD]

What the role is

The Intern will support the Media Relations team in cultivating positive relationships with media outlets, coordinating media queries to ensure effective communication with the public through various media channels. This role offers hands-on experience in media engagement, writing, and event coordination.

What you will be working on

• Monitor media reports and online sentiments, and scribing of news. • Assist with preparing responses and followups of media queries. • Assist with drafting of media materials for announcements. • Assist with drafting commentaries on topics such as career planning, manpower transformation, etc. • Maintain database of media and human interest stories. • Track and evaluate media engagement metrics to measure effectiveness. • Arrange media lunches/catch-ups. • Undertake any other duties as assigned.

What we are looking for

• Currently pursuing any diploma or degree, preferably in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field. • Strong ideation and conceptualisation skills. • Critical and logical thinking. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines. • An enthusiastic and proactive attitude towards learning and contributing to the team.
