What the role is

We are looking to provide an intern with a holistic experience in a marketing and communications role, with a focus on campaigns and digital marketing. The intern can expect to support multiple facets - from in-house photo and video productions, campaigns, writing, project management and monitoring and analysis, to learn and contribute in these areas. This will be a good opportunity to learn about government communications and administration.

What you will be working on

• Ideate, develop, and produce branded and shareable content for WSG’s social media and digital channels, in the form of short-form and long-form videos, photos, graphics, GIFs or long-form copy to grow and engage audiences. • Project manage production processes such as conceptualising and developing storyboards, film interviews, handling voice-over recordings, etc. • Attend and cover events and gather material for subsequent publication on social media. • Perform post-editing work to produce high quality assets adaptable for various formats. • Write, edit and publish impactful content for long-form articles, where it will be necessary to be able to conduct interviews with profiles and bring out information to support key messages. • Create well-crafted copies for a variety of marketing collaterals, social content, and marketing campaigns, with a focus on people, jobs and skills. • Support the production of other assets, which can include design, illustration and copywriting. • Work with managers to execute and refine social media campaigns. • Conduct research and social media monitoring to power content ideation and development. • Track, monitor and provide insights into performances of created assets, and prepare simple post-campaign or project reports for review, analysis and improvements. • Support the campaigns team in the execution of national marketing campaigns across multiple platforms, ranging from out-of-home to print to digital • Undertake any other duties as assigned.

What we are looking for

• Photo, video or audio editing skills using programmes such as Adobe Lightroom, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, Filmora, iMovie, CapCut, Lightworks, etc. is a must. • Videography and photography experience is an advantage. • Confident and effective communicator with a strong pulse on cultural conversation, social memes and trends in the digital environment. • Good understanding of all social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok and Youtube. • Creative in generating social media content with a good aesthetic sense. • Basic understanding and ability to read and use performance analytics tools such as Google Analytics and other social media analytics platforms. • Self-starter who can work independently to manage and deliver projects. • Able to handle stress and thrive under pressure, stay level-headed and meet deadlines. • Good team player with a positive attitude. • Good command of the English language, with demonstrated ability in copywriting is a bonus. • Graphic design skills using programmes such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Canva, etc. is a bonus.
