As an Assistant Engineer/ Senior Assistant Engineer / Engineer, you may be deployed to one of the following teams in the Water Supply (Plants) Department to manage and develop Singapore’s water resources at Kota Tinggi, Johor:
1. JRWW Operations
This team is responsible for operating the computer-based system, monitoring the water treatment process and water quality.
2. Linggiu/ Pipeline
This team is responsible for maintaining the Linggiu Reservoir and pipelines facilities at Johor under PUB.
3. Mechanical
This team is responsible for maintaining mechanical equipment in the water treatment plant.

What you will be working on
As a Shift Operator at JRWW, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following :
• Operate water treatment plant and equipment to produce potable water at prescribed quantity and quality, meeting WHO, USEPA and EPH guidelines.
• Carry out water sampling and laboratory tests to ensure water quality within prescribed control limits.
• Carry out administrative duties for water treatment plant operations related contracts according to contract specifications and requirements.
• Preparing and topping up various chemicals (alum, lime and fluoride) use in plant treatment processes.
• Any other duties assigned
As a Shift Operator at Linggiu/Pipeline, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following :
• Monitor instruments at the dam and carry out routine checks for dam integrity or carry out routine inspection and valve operations along the pipelines.
• Carry out water sampling to ensure water quality within prescribed control limits.
• Carry out administrative duties for Linggiu Reservoir or Pipeline operations related contracts according to contract specifications and requirements.
• Supervise works performed by contractors to ensure compliance with requirements.
• Any other duties assigned
For Mechanical positions, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following :
• Maintenance, troubleshooting and inspection of plants and equipment in the waterworks
• Assisting in the supervision of mechanical maintenance works and personnel
• Coordinating work with contractors
• Procurement of parts, materials and tools for various maintenance works
• Raising awareness in addressing environmental, health and safety hazards
• Assist in the supervision of contractors replacing or installing mechanical equipment
• Creation and following through of works orders and purchase orders as part of maintenance and replacement contract administration.
What we are looking for
• Diploma in Engineering (Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics) and related engineering disciplines
• Able to work on 3-rotating shift duties for Operations / Linggiu/Pipeline positions
• Works well independently and also a good team player
