Project Title: [2026 Summer Internship] Enhancing Urban Experience: Data-Driven Digital Services for Citizens, SCD, SNDG This internship project offers an exciting opportunity to design and develop a data-driven application to improve how citizens interact with the urban environment. The focus is on value creation: leveraging existing data streams (e.g., geospatial, environmental, or feedback data) to generate recommendations, insights, or visualisations that solve a specific urban living challenge.

Project Objectives: 1) Data Integration: Aggregate and process heterogeneous data sources (e.g., APIs, CSVs, geospatial data) to create a unified view. 2) Insight Generation: Apply logic or algorithms to filter noise and deliver relevant recommendations to the user. 3) Prototype Development: Build a functional MVP (Minimum Viable Product) to demonstrate the utility of the data. 4) User Experience: Ensure the application is intuitive and accessible for the target demographic. Expected Deliverables: 1) Functional Application: A working frontend/backend prototype demonstrating the core value proposition. 2) Data Architecture Documentation: Schema of data sources, processing pipelines, and integration points. 3) Feature Documentation: A guide on how new data sources can be onboarded in future iterations. 4) User Feedback Log: Summary of pilot user feedback and iterations made.

• Full-Stack Awareness: Proficiency in modern web frameworks (e.g., React, Vue) and backend logic (e.g., Python, Node). • Data Fluency: Experience with APIs, JSON handling, and basic data processing/visualisation. • Product Thinking: Ability to prioritise features based on user needs rather than technical complexity.
