What you will be working on
During the internship, you will have the opportunity to partake in the design and development of an array of HDB’s upcoming Build-to-Order (BTO) housing projects and gain valuable insight on how HDB designs and develops sustainable and community-centric homes for Singaporeans.
The job scope includes:
- Assisting project coordinators to guide, check and ensure consultants' designs comply with HDB's design technical guidelines/requirements and policies
- Tracking and monitoring deadlines for project activities
- Coordinating with internal Groups on design-related matters, technical requirements and submissions
- Ensuring good quality design and timely delivery of documents, drawings and materials by consultants to meet schedules for launch and tender
In addition, through shadowing HDB officers at meetings (e.g. working sessions, reviews) and site visits (eg. mock-up and sample units, precinct checks if permitted), as well as work on related housing design studies, you will be able to hone a range of competencies such as creativity, analytic thinking and problem-solving while making a tangible impact.
