Assistant Manager/Manager (Finance Services Department)

What the role is

Working in the Finance Services Department, you will be responsible for the following:

What you will be working on

  • Perform finance and accounting functions, including but not restricted to accounting for daily revenue collection, accounts payable, month and year-end closing, fixed assets, fees and charges costing, bank reconciliations and prepare management reports
  • Review of work processes for system enhancement and internal controls
  • Lead in the preparation, consolidation, and submission of periodic returns
  • Liaise with departments/divisions and ministries/agencies on returns and submissions
  • Provide advice and support on financial matters
  • Prepare audit schedules for statutory and other audits
  • Attend to requests or enquiries from external and internal customers

What we are looking for

The job might be for you if you possess the following qualities:

  • A Degree in Accountancy or related discipline with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
  • Independent, hardworking, positive, and highly motivated, flexible, and resourceful
  • Meticulous and able to exercise sound judgement and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • A good team player and able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Organised and able to multi-task
  • Self-driven and always ready to strive for improvement
