What the role is
What you will be working on
Academic duties
Develop and improve the content of modules you are assigned to teach and deliver for full-time and part-time learners
Be competent to conduct teaching and delivery of modules in classroom and online setting
Set and conduct assessments for the modules you are assigned
Lead in the integration of modules content, teaching and delivery to achieve the course objectives
Initiate and experiment with new pedagogies or learning technologies to enhance curriculum delivery
Non-Academic duties
Administrative and other duties to support the management of the school, diploma and modules
Duties and responsibilities that may arises to support curriculum development and currency
Solve operational problems to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
Supervise junior team members to ensure smooth operations
What we are looking for
Applicants must have strong communication skills and have an inherent passion to teach students in both physical classrooms and online learning environment.
Applicants must have at least 3 years of local work experience in the Design industry and be well versed in UI/UX, Figma, 3-D modelling, Rhinoceros (Rhino) + Grasshopper, Blender, and MS Office software.
Applicant should possess an accredited graduate degree in Industrial/Product Design (B. Arts or equivalent) and be conversant with Entrepreneurship, Interactive Design and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in creating innovative designs and design engineering development.
Candidate must be competent to plan, develop and teach at least three of the following areas:
Principles of Design and Research
UI/UX
User-Centric Design, interface and Digital Prototyping
Advanced digital modelling, rendering, animation and fabrication
Sustainable product innovation
Entrepreneurship and digital marketing
Design Visualisation and AI for product design
Besides teaching full time diploma students, the lecturer will also be required to teach Part-Time Courses to learners who are working adults. These classes are usually conducted in the evenings from 6pm to 10pm.
