Assistant Associate, Events & Outreach
What the role is
Join our dynamic Events and Outreach department as an Assistant Associate, Events and Outreach. This role offers the opportunity to make meaningful impact on Singapore’s STEM education and youth development initiatives, inspiring the next generation of STEM leaders.
What you will be working on
You will support our Project Officers in STEM outreach projects (6-8 projects per year) that inspire and nurture the passion for scientific interest in Singapore.
Your primary responsibility will be coordinating end-to-end event administrative and logistics including feedback management, school and vendor coordination, and resource allocation. You'll manage on-site operations during events, ensuring seamless participant experiences while collaborating with Project Officers and coordinating with partner organisations. This role involves handling participant registration, materials preparation, and post-event feedback collection to maintain our high standards of programme delivery.
You will serve as a key liaison with schools, community partners and external vendors, managing participant inquiries and providing exceptional customer service. Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders and repeat partners will be crucial to your success. Additionally, you will coordinate with internal teams across departments to ensure integrated project delivery that aligns with our organisational objectives.
What we are looking for
The ideal candidate should possess a Diploma qualification or equivalent and be proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Prior experience in event management will be an added advantage.
We effectively support STEM programming initiatives and value individuals with a strong customer service orientation and commitment to participant satisfaction, as our programmes serve diverse audiences with high expectations.
Strong organisational and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work collaboratively as a team player while maintaining integrity, passion, and meticulous attention to detail in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.
Experience working with youth or educational programmes, project coordination, or administrative support would be valuable assets. Familiarity with Singapore's education landscape would help you better understand our stakeholder needs and programme objectives.
The nature of work may require working on weekends and public holidays (when needed). Staff may be given time-off on another day when they fulfil the minimum hours of work. Candidates with extensive relevant experience may be considered for Associate level appointment.
Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
