Asst Manager/Manager/Exec Manager (Cleaning Industry Policy Section) – Contract
What the role is
What you will be working on
You will work in partnership with several stakeholders; internally and externally of which, includes agencies and trade associations, to build up the cleaning capabilities in preparation for potential future emerging infectious diseases, and to develop policies for the cleaning industry to be regulated, trained and well equipped to cope with future pandemics. You will be responsible for the following:
- Review, conceptualise develop and consult industry to enhance policies in NEA’s regulation of disinfection companies
- Manage existing frameworks for the cleaning and disinfection businesses
- Consolidate, prepare and engage internal and external holders to implement, communicate, and operationalise policy changes (such as curating training modules, system enhancements, legislative amendments)
- Respond to enquiries and feedback of disinfection companies, and their requests to be listed on NEA website
- Consolidate and analyse statistics in support of the department’s decision-making process
- Perform secretariat role in committees and meetings
- Participate and contribute in departmental, cross-departmental, divisional and inter-agency initiatives and projects as and when required
- Ad hoc duties assigned by supervisors
What we are looking for
The ideal candidate would possess the following qualities:
- Possess strong critical thinking, good analytical reasoning, meticulous, with problem-solving and project management skills.
- Excellent writing, interpersonal, presentation, and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications, in particular MS Words, MS Powerpoint and MS Excel.
- Organised and able to multi-task with demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Self-driven, able to work independently, as well as a good team player in a dynamic environment.
This is a contract post until March 2027.
