Senior Manager/ Manager, Systems & Data Centre
What the role is
What you will be working on
Data Management & Infrastructure Oversight
- Execute daily data management operations including data collection, validation, and maintenance across vaping case management systems.
- Conduct data quality checks and resolve data discrepancies to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of operational data.
- Maintain data records and support data governance processes in compliance with government data standards.
Systems Operations & User Support
- Support daily system operations and monitor system performance to ensure availability and reliability for operational users.
- Provide user support for case management systems, troubleshoot system issues, and coordinate with vendors for technical resolution.
- Assist in system testing, enhancements, and upgrades to support evolving operational requirements.
Analytics & Reporting Support
- Conduct data analysis and generate insights to support operational monitoring and trend identification for the Division to support the operations.
- Prepare analytical reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to support management decision-making and operational oversight.
- Assist in development and maintenance of reporting templates and analytical tools.
Data Standards & Process Compliance
- Support implementation of data standards, definitions, and protocols to ensure consistent data management practices.
- Ensure compliance with established data handling procedures, system access controls, and data security requirements.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance data quality and system efficiency.
Technical Coordination & Vendor Liaison
- Assist in coordination activities with GovTech, SNDGO, and other technical agencies for system requirements and implementations.
- Support liaison activities with system vendors and service providers for system maintenance and issue resolution.
- Facilitate information sharing and maintain effective working relationships with technical partners.
Duty Support & Escalation Management
- Participate in rotational duty arrangements to provide technical support for system incidents and data-related escalations.
- Monitor and respond to urgent system issues, coordinate emergency responses, and escalate complex technical matters to the Assistant Director as appropriate.
- Maintain system availability during duty periods and provide timely updates to management on critical technical matters
Administrative & General Duties
- Provide administrative support for Systems & Data activities including documentation of technical procedures and special projects as required.
- Support training and development activities for operational staff on system usage and data management practices.
Other Duties
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director or senior management.
What we are looking for
Qualifications and Experience
- Relevant experience, preferably in information systems, data science, computer science, information technology, or related field with minimum 3-5 years' relevant experience in data management, systems administration, or IT operations within government, healthcare, or regulatory environments.
- Demonstrated experience in data analysis, system operations, or technical support with ability to troubleshoot issues and generate analytical insights.
- Experience working with government technical agencies, system vendors, or external technical partners in operational or support contexts.
Core Competencies and Skills
- Strong technical and analytical skills with understanding of data management principles, system operations, and data security standards. Proficient in Python scripting for data analysis and automation, and Power BI for dashboard development and data visualisation.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with proven ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences and coordinate cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong organisational skills with proven ability to work collaboratively across teams, coordinate with technical partners, and participate in rotational duty arrangements for technical support.
The successful candidate will be offered a 1-year contract (with option for automatic renewal for a further one year) in the first instance.
