The Corporate Planning team (CP) is part of MTI’s Futures, Strategy and Plans Division (FSPD), which oversees the full value chain of strategic planning activities for Singapore’s economy within MTI and across Government. The CP team works closely with senior management to translate strategy into action and steward our resources. This includes: (i) Driving strategic resource management for the MTI family and supporting the allocation of resources to key economic projects, in alignment with our vision and mission. (ii) Strengthening systems governance (i.e. target setting and progress assurance) within MTI and across the Firefly Family, to ensure the translation of strategic goals into tangible and impactful results. (iii) Corporate planning for the MTI family, including leading the work planning process and running senior management platforms, to foster strategic alignment and coherence across the whole organisation. As a part of the team, you will gain a better understanding of Singapore’s economic goals and challenges, and understand the considerations and trade-offs behind economic strategies and policies.

• Interest in Singapore’s economy and economic strategies. • Analytical skills and ability to deal with complexity and ambiguity. • Strong learning orientation (e.g. a curious mind, a preference to refine new ideas) and desire to foster efficiency and innovate to do better. • Good communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to understand the diverse/competing needs of stakeholders and work across different stakeholders. • Proficiency in Excel is preferred.
