What you will be working on
The project entails research and analysis into green economy developments across ASEAN Member States, with a focus on biofuels, sustainable finance and investment, and trade in environmental attributes. It will examine policy frameworks and implementation mechanisms. It will analyse current trends, barriers, and opportunities for regional green economy cooperation, drawing insights from international experiences and existing regional partnerships. The results of the analysis will then feed into the formulation of policy recommendations and proposals to support Singapore’s ASEAN Chairmanship in 2027.
Deliverable
A landscape report on the state of ASEAN green economy initiatives in biofuels, sustainable finance, and environmental attributes trade, accompanied by policy recommendations to support Singapore's ASEAN Chairmanship initiatives in 2027.
What we are looking for
• Understanding of and interest in sustainability and climate change developments
• Keen interest in current affairs, especially in relation to global economic and geopolitical developments
• Comfortable dealing with research work and writing
• Good communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• A self-starter mindset, exemplified by high initiative and resourcefulness in solving new problems
