What you will be working on
• Evaluate the current state and future prospects of economic integration in the region (e.g. Singapore-Johor-Riau growth triangle).
• Study existing and emerging models of regional economic integration in other parts of the world (e.g. Australia-New Zealand Single Economic Market, European Union Single Market) that enhance trade resilience, deepen connectivity, and unlock new growth pathways for the region in an evolving global landscape.
• Identify opportunities where deeper economic integration for Singapore in the region – across trade, investment, services and emerging domains – could facilitate capital flows, support enterprise internationalisation, and enhance long-term competitiveness.
What we are looking for
•Keen interest in current affairs, especially in relation to global economic and geopolitical developments
•Familiarity with Southeast Asia would be useful
•Comfortable dealing with research work and writing
•A self-starter mindset, exemplified by high initiative and resourcefulness in solving new problems
