Intern (Business Partnerships Team – Driving AI-enabled HR Solutions), PCG

Internship
Closing on 19 Jan 2026

What the role is

Intern (Business Partnerships Team – Driving AI-enabled HR Solutions), People & Culture Group, PSD

What you will be working on

Responsibilities The Challenge The People & Culture Group (PCG), a department in the Public Service Division, provides strategic and operational shared HR services to many public agencies under its care. We implement best-in-class people practices to help public agencies build a high-performing and engaged workforce, enabling them to achieve their organisational mission and strategic goals. Under PCG, the Business Partnerships Team (BPT) serves as a trusted and strategic partner to agencies’ Senior Management Teams by developing and delivering integrated HR services. The BPT are accountable for the eventual delivery of HR products and services to agencies (leaders and employees), ensuring tight-knitted collaboration with specialist centres and plugging the ‘gaps’ or contextualising where necessary. You will be part of an exciting project to transform how the BPT operates by driving the identification, assessment and adoption of AI-enabled HR solutions. You will have the opportunity to conduct in-depth user research, explore a range of government-enabled AI tools, and manage the implementation of suitable tools for BPT’s use. Learning Areas Our internship will provide valuable exposure to the operational and tech-driven aspects of Human Resources, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of AI-enabled HR solutions. You will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through the following: • Build a comprehensive picture of user needs and preferences by deep diving into how the BPT currently operates, what their challenges and pain points are, and what solutions would genuinely improve their work experience. This includes using various approaches to collect qualitative and quantitative feedback and analysing the information to determine which issues to prioritise. • Research and evaluate a range of government-enabled AI tools to understand their capabilities and limitations, and whether they might be a good fit given the BPT’s specific context and requirements. This requires doing a landscape scan of existing and emerging technologies, watching demonstrations and reading case studies, and potentially testing pilot versions of these tools. • Oversee the practical deployment and implementation of the selected tools to ensure that they deliver measurable benefits and are seamlessly integrated into the BPT’s daily workflows. This may involve change management, user training and post-implementation support.

What we are looking for

If you share our passion in shaping Singapore’s future with a first-class Public Service, we welcome you to join us as an intern. An ideal candidate should possess the following: • [Thinking Clearly and Making Sound Judgements] Dare to work with ambiguity, propose ways to sense-make, and propose sound solutions for the business. • [Working Effectively with Stakeholders] Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
