What you will be working on

We welcome you to join our team as: DIRECTOR (INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS) The selected candidate will lead the International Relations Division to develop and manage the Singapore Judiciary’s international, regional and bilateral relations with foreign judiciaries and relevant stakeholders. You will be expected to: • assess geo-political trends which impact the Singapore Judiciary’s international engagement strategies; • develop and implement strategy, policy approaches and plans for Singapore Courts’ international, regional and bilateral engagements and partnerships; • network and lead coordination of the Singapore’s Judiciary’s participation at international and regional organisations and groupings; • organise, coordinate and staff meetings between senior leaders in court-to-court collaborations; • handle protocol matters for incoming visits and international engagements; • assist in overall staffing work and special projects; and • guide and mentor team members to achieve purpose-driven IR engagements.

What we are looking for

Requirements: • At least 15 years of relevant experience • Relevant international engagement or foreign service background is important • Good engagement, writing, analytical and management skills, including “hands-on” IR work • A legal background would be an added advantage Note: The successful candidate will be appointed on a one-year probationary contract in the first instance.
