Assistant Manager/ Manager, Grants Administration

What the role is

The Ministry of Digital Development and Information (MDDI) drives Singapore’s digital development in the areas of economy, government, security, and society. Join our dynamic Finance team and play a key role in the financial administration of the Research, Innovation, and Enterprise (RIE) initiatives. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with funding guidelines, monitoring expenditures, preparing financial reports, and working closely with stakeholders to ensure the seamless administration of grants.

What you will be working on

Key Responsibilities: • Validate claims submitted by Host Institutions and grantees, ensuring compliance with funding guidelines. • Consolidate and submit verified claims for approved grants in a timely manner. • Monitor and track expenditures against awarded grants, ensuring proper allocation and use of funds. • Maintain up-to-date and accurate records of all grants and communicate regularly with grantees to ensure smooth operations. • Collaborate with project teams to prepare financial reports for both internal and external stakeholders. • Coordinate with auditors to facilitate efficient and effective audit processes for grant-related activities. • Contribute to the development of data-driven proposals and digitalisation initiatives aimed at enhancing grant administration.

What we are looking for

• Self-motivated, committed, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. • Strong understanding of financial management principles, with experience in the public sector being an advantage. • Proficient in preparing financial reports and conducting financial analysis. • Grants management experience is desirable but not required. • Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel and data analysis tools. • Familiarity with digital tools, including Artificial Intelligence solutions for grants administration, is a plus. • Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills. • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work independently and effectively. • Fresh graduates are welcomed to apply.
