As the Senior Engineer/Engineer in the Catchment and Waterways Department’s Engineering & Safety Unit / Reservoir Management Division, the main roles and responsibilities would include but not limited to:

What you will be working on
- Carry out the planning, implementation and review the monitoring regimes including visual inspection to check conditions, deployment of monitoring equipment such as CCTVs, piezometers, vibration meters, etc.
- Plan and manage the engagement of independent professional inspector for the 5 yearly inspection.
- Procure and manage the settlement and alignment surveys contract as well as the analysis of the survey results.
- Recommend, plan and ensure rectification or improvement works are carried out in a timely manner.
- Review and apply latest technology and best practices for monitoring, maintenance and repair, where appropriate.
- Assess potential structural impacts by developments in close proximity and provide protection requirements for developers and carry out studies, where necessary, to assess impact of developments on the integrity and their ancillary structures
- Develop and exercise emergency response plans
What we are looking for
• Degree in Civil Engineering
• At least 2 years of civil engineering experience, preferably in the field of geotechnical engineering
• Familiar with engineering software such as Plaxis, SlopeW, MIKE 21
• Independent, result-oriented and resourceful team player with good communication skills
• Strong negotiation skills and project management skills
• Analytical abilities to interpret data and carry out appropriate analysis
• Able to attend to work on weekends and after office hours when required
