What the role is

The intern will support strategic youth engagement initiatives within the Racial and Religious Harmony Circles, working closely with emerging youth leaders to drive meaningful community programmes. The role involves facilitating youth-led initiatives, supporting programme development, and building connections across diverse communities. The intern will play a key role in empowering young leaders to create impactful programmes that strengthen social cohesion and intercultural understanding. The intern will collaborate with established youth networks including Youth Leaders @ Harmony Circle (YLHC) to amplify their initiatives, enhance their reach, and support the growth of youth leadership in the social cohesion space. At the end of their tenure, the intern will organise an outreach session at their school to share about the Harmony Circle and racial and religious harmony in Singapore.

What you will be working on

• Support and facilitate strategic planning with youth leaders in conceptualising and implementing community engagement programmes and capacity building initiatives for emerging young leaders. • Coordinate high-impact youth workshops, dialogues, and signature community events, including organising an outreach session at their school to share about the Harmony Circle and racial and religious harmony in Singapore. • Build networks and partnerships with schools, community organisations, and youth groups. • Support outreach and engagement strategies to expand programme participation, including developing publicity materials.

What we are looking for

• Strong passion for youth empowerment, community building, and fostering racial and religious harmony. • Strategic thinking with excellent project coordination abilities. • Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to inspire diverse communities. • Initiative-driven approach with strong leadership potential. • Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders across government, non-government organisations and community leaders while driving independent projects. • Interest in multicultural dialogue and social cohesion initiatives. • Youth engagement and outreach experience preferred.
