What the role is

The Government Partnerships & Engagement Group (GPEG) contributes to the development of a collaborative government that empowers partnerships and engagement (PE) with citizens for a better Singapore. It does this through developing public sector capabilities in partnerships and engagement, strengthening external partnerships, and designing and organising Whole-of-Government (WOG) PE initiatives. Within GPEG, the Singapore Government Partnerships Office (SGPO) serves as the first-stop for individuals and groups seeking to partner with the Government on community projects. This internship supports SGPO’s broader mission of promoting a “We First” society — where Singaporeans give back to the community and look out for one another. The intern will be part of the Communications Team, which is responsible for developing narratives, creating digital content, and managing SGPO’s online presence to raise awareness of citizen–government partnerships. The team also curates and tells the stories of changemakers and community initiatives to inspire more Singaporeans to collaborate with the Government for community good. The intern will play a key role in amplifying SGPO’s reach and engaging audiences through compelling digital storytelling and strategic social media content. They will help spotlight changemakers in Singapore, crafting narratives and inspire more citizens to partner the Government for community good.

What you will be working on

. Social Media Engagement • Develop and execute content strategies tailored to Gen Z audiences across Instagram, X, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn • Create short-form videos, reels, carousels, and interactive posts to boost follower growth and engagement • Monitor analytics to identify trends and optimise content performance b. Changemaker Storytelling • Profile inspiring individuals and ground-ups who are partnering with the Government to make a difference in Singapore • Translate their journeys into relatable, visually engaging stories for social media platforms c. Website Article Generation • Write feature articles for publication on SGPO’s website (www.sgpo.gov.sg). • Conduct interviews, research, and fact-checking to ensure accuracy and depth d. Project Management & Vendor Coordination • Liaise with external vendors (e.g. creative agencies, photographers, videographers) to support content production • Manage project timelines, briefs, and deliverables to ensure smooth execution of campaigns • Gain hands-on experience in project coordination and stakeholder communication e. Learning Outcomes • Build a portfolio of multimedia content and published articles • Develop skills in digital storytelling, content strategy, project management, and audience analytics • Gain exposure to public sector communications and youth engagement strategies f. Reporting & Support • Reports to the Communications Team, GPEG • Will receive mentorship and guidance from the Communications team

What we are looking for

• Strong writing, research, and visual storytelling skills • Proficiency in Canva; knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Illustrator) is a bonus • Creative, proactive, and collaborative mindset with attention to detail • Interest in social impact, community engagement, and digital communications Application Details: We are seeking interns who can commit on a part/full-time basis for a max of 3 months any period from Jan 2026 to Jun 2026 To apply: • Please submit your CV/ resume • Indicate your internship availability period
