What the role is

Project title: Data Analytics for Lower-Wage Workers The Workplace Policy and Strategy Division’s mission is to achieve “Thriving Workplaces that Promote Economic Growth and Safeguard our Social Compact”. The Inclusive Workplaces team develops policies and initiatives to foster progressive workplace practices and uplift lower wage workers. The intern will be tasked with developing a dashboard that consolidates and visualises key data regarding lower-wage workers and the Progressive Wage Model (PWM). The goal of the project is to create a tool that enables policymakers and tripartite partners to better understand lower wage worker demographics, archetypes and PWM sector characteristics. The intern may also be called upon to support ongoing tripartite and PWM negotiations through data analysis.

What you will be working on

The intern will be expected to work with various datasets together with other data stakeholders, including information on income levels, job sectors, educational background, and age. The intent is to design a user-friendly dashboard, allowing for easy exploration of the data and aiding in the identification of areas where targeted policy interventions could be made.
