What the role is

The role will be part of the YD team that oversees overall Somerset Belt precinct development and *SCAPE CO. Ltd. The team works closely with *SCAPE, the National Youth Council (NYC), and youths to develop the space into one that can better support youth communities, creative expression, and a sense of belonging in the heart of Orchard Road. The role provides opportunities to learn about deliberative and participative citizen engagement approaches, infrastructure development, and organisational management.

What you will be working on

The role will support the YD team in: a. Planning and execution of community engagement activities such as focus group discussions, networking sessions, and surveys. b. Preparation work for infrastructural developments of the Somerset Belt Project. c. Coordination of updates and developments with key stakeholders and precinct partners. d. Research into youth profiles and trends to strengthen the team’s understanding of target and potential audiences for better programming and initiatives. e. Administrative tasks related to the project.

What we are looking for

• Passion for youth development and community engagement. • Effective interpersonal and communication skills. • Good writing and presentation skills. • Basic data analysis and visualisation skills. • Familiarity with social media platforms, content creation, and trends. • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
