What the role is
• Assist Senior Manager to facilitate and co-ordinate projects and programmes with GROs, volunteers and community partners to widen residents’ outreach and deepen engagement through EP.
What you will be working on
Assist Senior Manager to implement PA’s response plans, coordinating instructions, CONOPs and public comms for NE and CE crises such as heatwave, train disruption, chemical incidents, fire incidents and COVID-19 and other crises as determined by PA senior management.
Assist Senior Manager in the set-up and operation of PA Crisis Operations Centre/Command Post to oversee PA’s emergency operations during NE/CE.
Assist Senior Manager to coordinate the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) movement in the following:
Managing recruiting queries, CERT training and database maintenance; and Deploying CERT volunteers at Chingay, National Day, Mid-Autumn, Singapore F1, Year-end Countdown and other key national deployment as determined by PA senior management.
Assist Senior Manager to prepare Invitation To Quote (ITQ) and Invitation To Tender (ITT) documents to engage qualified vendors to conduct EP training for staff, grassroots leaders and volunteers.
What we are looking for
Assist Senior Manager to prepare meeting minutes, tender documents, compile report submissions and other administration requirements to support the EP Division on emergency preparedness.
Attend C2E and project meetings to provide inputs and guidance on EP and SGSecure programmes, emergency operations, CCMG/CCOC/EOP/SOP and EP related matters.
Perform other duties as assigned by Senior Officers.
Experience:
Minimum - Experience working directly with volunteers or community groups, including basic coordination and communication. Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at various levels and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a community or service-oriented environment.
Desired – At least 3 years of experience in volunteer coordination, community engagement, or programme management, with success in recruiting, training, and retaining volunteers across diverse demographics. Experience in developing and implementing volunteer programmes from conception to execution. Strong background in stakeholder engagement and partnership building with community organisations, educational institutions, or corporate partners to expand volunteer networks. Experience in organising large-scale community events, emergency response exercises, or public education campaigns that require coordination of multiple volunteer teams.
