What you will be working on
Position Overview
The PAssion Wave Manager is responsible for the management and operation of a waterfront lifestyle facility, ensuring high-quality programming and safe operations whilst building strong community engagement through water sports and lifestyle activities.
Key Responsibilities
Facility Operations & Management
The manager oversees daily operations of the PAssion Wave outlet, maintaining quality standards and ensuring all equipment, rooms, and bookings are properly set up. This includes managing budgets, supervising staff, maintaining facilities, and conducting safety audits of equipment and inventory systems. The role requires implementing cost-effective operational processes whilst ensuring compliance with organisational policies and maintaining the highest safety standards for all activities.
Programme Development & Implementation
A core responsibility involves planning, developing, and executing innovative waterfront lifestyle programmes targeting young families, professionals, and youth. The manager conceptualises events, coordinates with PA trainers, and evaluates programme effectiveness. This includes expanding programme offerings through collaboration with schools, voluntary welfare organisations, and corporate partners to meet evolving community needs.
Community Engagement & Partnership Building
The position requires establishing and maintaining relationships with PA Divisions, advisory committees, grassroots organisations, and external partners. The manager facilitates the formation of Interest Groups, recruits WeCare Volunteers, and provides secretariat support for the PAssion Wave Outreach Committee. Building networks with local and international organisations helps maintain industry awareness and enhance programme quality.
Safety & Emergency Response
Ensuring participant safety is paramount, with responsibilities including monitoring trainer performance, supervising emergency evacuations, and conducting search and rescue operations using powerboats when necessary. The manager maintains oversight of all water and land sports activities to guarantee safe operational environments.
Marketing & Communications
The role involves leading publicity efforts for outlet events and programmes, developing social media marketing strategies to engage target demographics, and promoting awareness of waterfront lifestyle opportunities within the community.
This position combines operational management, community development, and safety oversight to deliver exceptional waterfront lifestyle experiences whilst fostering strong community bonds and partnerships.
What we are looking for
The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate swimming proficiency by completing a minimum 50-metre unaided swim. Candidates with prior supervisory experience will be preferred for this role. Additionally, possession of a Powered Pleasure Craft Driving License, Lifesaving 123 certification, and knowledge in Risk Assessment and Management would be advantageous for carrying out the full scope of duties effectively.
