What the role is
What you will be working on
• Oversee the implementation of all WSH functions, including the implementation of WSH policies, procedures and strategies to drive PUB safety culture
• Support and advise the management team on WSH issues
• Provide support and guidance to department safety officers on WSH issues
• Monitor safety performance of PUB and contractors, and to develop strategies and targeted program to improve PUB safety performance
• Conduct investigation for critical workplace incidents
• Plan and implement regular audit and inspection program to ensure PUB operations are in compliance with legal and in-house requirements
• Provide secretariat support to the various corporate safety committee meetings
• Monitor and track department follow up actions arising from audits and recommendation from safety committees.
• Lead department to plan, manage and execute appropriate health and safety programmes/activities to improve PUB safety performance
• Coordinate and work closely with other government agencies to ensure that PUB’s plans, procedures and programmes are in accordance with government directives.
• Develop training materials and conduct training for PUB staff and contractors. The ability to leverage generative AI tools to create high-impact, digital-first safety training and video content will be considered an advantage.
What we are looking for
• Valid registration with MOM as a Workplace Safety and Health Officer
• Degree in Workplace Safety and Health or related discipline
• At least 3 years of working experience as a Workplace Safety and Health Officer
• Candidates with relevant experience in process safety are preferred
• Confidence in working with senior stakeholders as this role will require frequent interaction across departments
