What the role is

GovTech is seeking a strategic and hands-on Product Manager to drive the development of high-impact use cases within the AI Assistant programme. AI Assistant aims to take our digital ambition further - moving from "digitally available" to "effortless to use."



You will manage a specific portfolio of products or capabilities within the wider AI Assistant ecosystem, collaborating closely with other Product Managers to build a cohesive, intelligent platform. Your mission is to solve Operational Fragmentation (juggling multiple systems), Contextual Non-Awareness, and the Trust Deficit in critical work.



You will lead the discovery and implementation of specific AI interventions that make public officer work more productive and government interactions seamless. You will leverage cutting-edge technologies, such as Agentic workflows and the Model Context Protocol (MCP), to transform disjointed tasks into intuitive, frictionless experiences.

What you will be working on

As a Product Manager, you will hold significant ownership over your product domain, driving it from concept to reality while aligning with the broader programme goals. Your core responsibilities include: 


Use Case Development & Strategy: 

  • Identify, validate, and prioritize high-value use cases where AI Assistants can automate complex workflows and reduce "context switching" for public officers. 

  • Develop the product roadmap for your specific domain, ensuring it addresses the need for personalized context and historical awareness in user interactions. 

  • Translate broad operational challenges into concrete technical requirements for Agentic capabilities and MCP integrations. 


Product Execution & Collaboration: 

  • Drive the end-to-end product lifecycle for your assigned use cases, maintaining a high bar for accuracy and explainability to bridge the "Trust Deficit." 

  • Collaborate intimately with other Product Managers in the AI Assistant programme to ensure your product modules integrate seamlessly with the wider ecosystem. 

  • Act as the bridge between policy, operations, and engineering to deliver outcomes that are not just technically feasible but operationally compliant. 

Customer & Workflow Discovery: 

  • Lead deep-dive discovery sessions with government agencies to understand the "operational fragmentation" in their current systems. 

  • Map out user journeys to pinpoint exactly where AI Assistant can intervene to remove friction and repetition. 

  • Advocate for the user’s need for effortless tools, balancing automation with the safety required for critical government tasks. 

Data-Driven Decision Making: 

  • Define success metrics specific to your use cases, focusing on friction reduction, time-saved, and task completion accuracy. 

  • Utilize data to iterate on model performance, specifically monitoring for hallucinations or context failures in complex workflows. 


Team Culture: 

  • Foster a culture of experimentation and rapid learning within the programme. 

  • Champion best practices in AI product management, contributing to the collective knowledge of the AI programme. 

What we are looking for

  • Proven experience as a Product Manager with a track record of leading complex technology products or digital platforms. 

  • Strong scoping and problem-solving skills: The ability to look at a messy, fragmented business process and visualize how AI Assistants can streamline it. 

  • Technical Fluency: A strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, particularly Large Language Models (LLMs), Agentic workflows, or system integrations (APIs/MCP), is a significant advantage. 

  • Collaborative Mindset: Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a matrixed environment, aligning with other product owners to deliver a unified solution. 

  • Trust & Safety approach: Experience or strong interest in building products where accuracy, data privacy, and explainability are non-negotiable.
