What the role is

This role encompasses four key areas of responsibility to support the CDC's primary objectives. In Digital Communication & Production, the position involves creating engaging content for CDC and Mayor's social media platforms, collaborating with external agencies and content creators, producing in-house materials through photography and video editing, and leveraging social media trends to amplify messaging reach. For Council & Staff Engagement, responsibilities include coordinating District Councillor recruitment and appointments, preparing meeting agendas and minutes, organising quarterly council meetings and staff retreats, collecting and analysing data from various sources to identify trends and opportunities, and sharing strategic insights with senior management. The role also functions as a Relationship Manager, building and maintaining stakeholder relationships to facilitate connections, provide responsive support to inquiries, and synergise resources to address community needs. Finally, the position includes Supervisory duties, overseeing and guiding Executives to ensure optimal resource utilisation in achieving CDC targets and objectives.District, thereby promoting strong community bonding and assist in the implementation and review of plans to achieve long-term community bonding goals.
2. Planning, coordinating and implementing community initiatives through grassroots leaders, joint CDC project partners and staff. Ensure initiatives comply to financial controls and governance policies i.e. Government Instruction Manual (IM), CDC rules and PA staff manual etc.

What you will be working on

Key duties and responsibilities that need to be performed to meet the primary objective of the job.  This will include the important result areas (what) along with the rationale (why).

Digital Communication & Production
•    Ideate and create engaging creative content for CDC’s and Mayor’s social media platforms, to increase awareness of CDC’s work and role.
•    Work with external online content platforms, creative agencies, content creators, production houses etc 
•    Produce simple content in-house e.g. via photo-taking and editing, short video filming and editing, social media infographic design, etc.) 
•    Leverage on social media trends to extend reach of messaging

Council & Staff Engagement
•    Coordinates and facilitates the process of recruitment, appointment and reappointment of District Councillors to serve in the CDC 
•    Collates and prepare the agenda papers and minutes of meeting as well as, organises quarterly council meetings.
•    Organises retreats and bonding sessions to engage CDC staff and District Councillors to build a strong sense of belonging.
•    Organises meetings, learning journeys, workplans and retreats for CDC staff 
•    Collate, analyse and review data through various sources (both internal and external) to identify trends, opportunities and challenges/threats to support planning, formulating of strategies and decision-making.
•    Engage higher management in sharing the insights after sense-making.


Relationship Manager
•    Builds and maintains relationships with various stakeholders to link up relevant connections, build rapport and provide quick responses to inquiries, to comprehend and synergise resources to meet ground needs. 

Supervisory 
•    Supervises and guides the Executives to ensure optimum utilisation of resources in achieving CDC targets.

  • Assist and participate in cross PA Divisions and CDC Programmes and Initiatives.
