What the role is

Procurement Professional Programme (P3) Job Application Period: 12 Jan – 15 Mar 2026 Are you ready to make an impact on Singapore’s public services and economy? Join the two-year Procurement Professional Programme and help transform government procurement. As part of a function managing $28 billion in annual government spending, you will support public service delivery, contribute to economic sustainability, and ensure prudent use of public funds. This is a 2-year full-time role with rotations across public service agencies, certified training, exposure to government procurement policy and operational procurement work, community learning, and mentoring. The role requires a Whole-of-Government (WOG) mindset, critical thinking, commercial acumen, stakeholder management, business partnership skills, and understanding of governance principles. You will join the Ministry of Finance – Government Procurement Function Office (GPFO), established in 2020 to lead and transform WOG procurement. By the end of the programme, you will be equipped with core procurement competencies and diverse experiences, ready to drive government procurement transformation and impact national growth.

What you will be working on

This role offers diverse procurement experience across multiple agencies and domains. It supports your development of key competencies crucial for career agility while working within agency procurement teams to unlock value and deliver business outcomes. You will receive guidance and on-the-job training across various agencies, with responsibilities potentially spanning three key areas: [Procurement Policy, Strategy and Governance] • Supporting and reviewing procurement policies and processes • Providing advisory on basic procurement policies • Conducting spend analysis to inform policy and strategy decisions [Sourcing, Category Management and Procurement Operations] • Understanding stakeholder requirements and recommending appropriate procurement approaches • Developing strategies for demand aggregation and cost optimisation • Identifying and mitigating procurement risks • Conducting procurement processes from preparation to award • Supporting procurement systems management [Contract and Supplier Management] • Managing contracts • Providing contractual advice and ensuring compliance • Coordinating with suppliers to ensure performance and timely deliveries

What we are looking for

We are seeking individuals with genuine interest in public procurement and supporting nation’s development. This programme is open to fresh graduates and professionals with up to 5 years of work experience. This programme is slated to start in Aug 2026. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in any discipline with demonstrated leadership potential. • Recent graduates or working professionals with up to 5 years of experience are welcome to apply. • Strong analytical, problem-solving and interpersonal skills. • Able to work independently and within teams in a dynamic environment. • Excellent written and communication skills.
