What you will be working on
The incumbent is responsible for designing and implementing in-school related policies, sport programmes and initiatives in collaboration with stakeholders such as MOE and HPSI to increase overall sport participation of Children & Youth in schools. This role is also responsible for driving and innovating schools’ engagement and outreach efforts to acquire and deepen schools’ engagement level with SportSG.
Role and Responsibilities:
• To manage and review the nation programme - Sports Education Programme (SEP) and its supporting processes to ensure smooth operations, optimal grant uptake across all MOE schools, and continuous improvement of programme delivery
• To be the Account Manager for an assigned zone of schools to acquire schools to be onboard the School Sports Partnership (SSP) Programme
• To plan, coordinate and execute School Sports Fiesta (SSF) events for designated school clusters
• To support the implementation and development of the Strategic Partnership CCA (SP-CCA) programme through ActiveSG Academies & Clubs (A&C)
• To propose new initiatives and programmes to address gaps or enhance levels of sport participation in schools
• To manage online and offline platforms (such as website or Cluster Meetings) for engagement of schools, including marketing content, collaterals and outreach briefs
• To liaise with internal divisions (such as Active Health, SportCares, etc.) to integrate range of offerings for schools across SportSG
• To undertake Secretariat roles to facilitate and advance SportSG’s agenda with stakeholders at 2 key meeting platforms such as SportSG-MOE Steering Committee and Working Committee
• To work with internal and external partners to ensure progress towards desired outcomes aligned with national/corporate objectives
• To implement identified offerings for schools to participate in GetActive! Singapore from July to August
• To engage schools to participate in other GASG initiatives
What we are looking for
We are looking for self-motivated individuals who value integrity, teamwork and take pride in going the extra mile to provide excellent service to stakeholders and the community. This individual should be a sport advocate through living an active lifestyle and staying active.
In addition, an ideal candidate should possess the following:
• At least 5 years of proven experience
• Experience in partnership and stakeholder management
• Strong familiarity with the local schools’ structures and landscape
• Passion for sport and its value to impact children and youth.
• Strong strategic planning and project management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task and work independently.
• Adaptable to navigate dynamic work scenarios and environment.
• Team player
The level of offer will commensurate with applicants’ experience and track records. Successful candidates will be offered a 2/3-year contract in the first instance.
