Deputy Director (International Cooperation)

Supports Director to achieve the broader MOH objectives for international cooperation by overseeing the Division’s operations, providing strategic guidance, and leading the implementation of Singapore’s health diplomacy efforts.

Your responsibilities include: • Plan, develop, and lead in the implementation of MOH’s international strategy • Effective stakeholder management and representation for MOH • Ensuring operational oversight of the Division’s daily work

• A master’s degree in Public Health, International Relations, Public Policy, Political Science or related discipline is preferred. • At least 8 years working experience, preferably in policy or foreign relations role. • Highly driven, resourceful, and goal-oriented professional who is comfortable operating in a complex and fast-evolving global environment • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to build strong relations with a diverse group of local and international stakeholders to build consensus and foster alignment • Ability to think critically and strategically with strong understanding of Singapore’s health priorities • Travelling is required Key Competencies Required: • Thinking Clearly & Making Sound Judgements – Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities to support the crafting of sound policy recommendations; ability to grasp timelines, operating context and ground realities. • Learning & Putting Skills into Action - Possesses the drive and curiosity to learn and apply new skills, knowledge and new ways of working. • Improving & Innovating – Ability to seek continual improvements, and to innovate and experiment while managing the risks involved. • Working Effectively with Stakeholders – Ability to mobilise and rally partners and stakeholders towards a collective purpose.
