What You Will Do
As an ATCSO, you will be at the heart of aviation operations, serving as the vital link between Air Traffic Control Centres. You will process critical flight data and weather information, manage flight planning systems, and handle Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) updates. Your role includes coordinating traffic information, verifying vessel heights near Changi Airport, and participating in Search and Rescue exercises. Working alongside Air Traffic Control Officers, you will ensure seamless communication between air traffic control and aviation stakeholders.
Future Scope of the ATCSO Role
The ATCSO role is expanding and that enhances career prospects. You can expect to operate cutting-edge FF-ICE services (Flight and Flow Information for a Collaborative Environment), the next-generation flight information exchange system that enables real-time collaboration between airlines, air traffic control, and airports to optimise flight planning and operations. You can also expect data management roles that involve processing and analysing critical aviation information that enables decision-making across the air traffic management system.
Make a Real Impact
Flight crews and airlines will depend on your expertise to deliver critical, accurate data through FF-ICE systems for time-sensitive safety decisions. You will provide essential weather alerts for significant events that could impact flight safety, whilst other Air Navigation Service Providers will rely on your data for efficient airspace management.
Be a Part of Something Bigger
Through these current and future responsibilities, you will play a crucial role in supporting the safe and efficient management of aviation operations at one of the world's leading airports.
