You will join MND’s Digitalisation Office to pioneer digital policy and AI governance frameworks that ensure the secure, responsible, and effective use of AI and digital technologies across the Ministry Family (MF). This role positions you at the intersection of innovation and compliance, balancing the need for agility in adopting emerging technologies with robust governance to safeguard public trust. You will collaborate with system owners, business units, and technical teams to operationalise Whole-of-Government (WOG) digital and AI policies, transforming data and AI into strategic assets that enhance MND and Ministry family’s internal efficiency and service delivery.

What you will be working on
Digital Policy Development & Governance Frameworks
• Formulate and maintain MND-specific digitalisation and AI governance policies, ensuring alignment with WOG directives, IM8, and AI ethics guidelines.
• Design and strengthen system-level enablers to catalyse responsible AI adoption across operational units and Ministry Family agencies.
• Identify and manage AI risks, data protection, sharing, and classification for business domains.
AI Governance & Risk Management
• Develop frameworks for AI product development governance, including bias detection, explainability, and metrics guideline to measure performance.
• Monitor and report key risk indicators (KRIs) for AI and digital systems to senior management.
What we are looking for
Qualifications & Experience
• Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Engineering, Public Policy, or a related discipline.
• At least 3–5 years of experience in digital policy, AI governance, data management, or Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) roles.
• Familiarity with AI technologies, model lifecycle management, and public-sector ICT frameworks.
Skills & Competencies
• Policy Development & Implementation – Ability to design and operationalise digital and AI governance policies that balance innovation with compliance.
• Data and Risk Management – Skilled in identifying, assessing, and mitigating AI and digital risks across complex systems.
• Change Management – Adept at influencing and collaborating across diverse internal and external stakeholders.
• Business Development & Needs Analysis – Ability to anticipate emerging technology trends and translate them into actionable strategies.
• Communication & Influence – Strong ability to articulate complex technical and policy concepts clearly to senior management and non-technical audiences.
