What you will be working on
Media Strategy & Planning
• Lead and guide a team of media officers, setting clear objectives for the development of media strategies, from the message framework, approach, engagement to execution and review.
• Work in partnership with the marketing communications and events teams to optimise joint effort, align messaging, creative direction and reach across various communications platforms.
• Identify opportunities to enhance media visibility and to build brand presence across digital and traditional platforms as well as business events.
• Lead collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders to co-create media plans that maximise communication impact and outcomes across channels.
• Strengthen relationships with local, trade and international media, and identify opportunities for proactive pitching
• Track media outcomes with the use of data and analytics for improvement and resource optimisation.
Building Communications Competency
• Develop internal capability, media and spokesperson skills through training and knowledge sharing.
• Foster a collaborative environment that encourages cross-department learning and innovation.
What we are looking for
• Strategic and dynamic leader with at least 12 years of relevant work experience in strategic communications, media management, including experience in issues and crisis communication.
• Keen interest in business, economic and industrial news and policies.
• Experience in leading teams and driving cross-functional collaboration across multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and align diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent media relations, written and spoken communication skills, and the ability to break down technical details into compelling narratives.
