Senior Cloud Engineer / Cloud Lead, IDTD (2-yr contract)

Join PUB Cloud team to design, implement, and maintain secure, compliant, and resilient cloud infrastructure and network solutions across Azure and AWS platforms.

Cloud Architecture & Engineering • Design and deploy secure, scalable cloud architectures with aligned security and network controls. • Translate business, security, and resiliency requirements into cloud solutions. • Assess and recommend cloud technologies based on effectiveness, cost, and feasibility. Security, Compliance & Governance • Enhance cloud security posture in collaboration with CSPs and internal teams. • Ensure solutions comply with government policies (e.g., IM8, Cloudscape) and industry standards. • Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud security and infrastructure issues. • Conduct regular security assessments and recommend improvements to workflows, processes, and tools. Operations & Optimisation • Monitor and optimise cloud resources for performance, security, and cost efficiency. • Participate in architecture reviews to ensure adherence to design principles and governance. • Stay updated on emerging cloud trends and best practices. Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to project teams. • Lead knowledge sharing initiatives to develop cloud capabilities across the organisation.

Candidates with the following strengths will thrive in this role: • Proven experience in consulting, designing, and implementing cloud solution architectures across multiple cloud platforms, with strong integration and performance considerations. • Hands on expertise with cloud, web, and server side enterprise applications; solid understanding of software architectures, DevOps/DevSecOps, enterprise design patterns, RESTful APIs, and modern development methodologies. • Strong systems proficiency, including Windows/Linux servers, network management, and application of core security principles. • Excellent problem solving skills with the ability to proactively address security and infrastructure challenges. • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect) are preferred. • Effective communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels. • Adaptable and collaborative in dynamic environments; able to work independently or as part of a team; open minded, creative, and driven. • Experience with Singapore Government IT projects, especially within GCC environments, is an advantage
