We are seeking a HR Business Partner to support a newly established professional group. This role will serve as a strategic HR partner responsible for delivering comprehensive human resource services across key functional areas including recruitment, manpower planning, staff relations, exit management, and operational resource management. This role requires close collaboration with senior leadership to understand business needs and deliver tailored HR solutions that drive operational excellence.
What you will be working on
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Partnership & Business Alignment
- Partner with the Group Director, Division Directors, and Directors to understand business requirements and translate them into effective human resource strategies
- Provide strategic HR guidance and solutions that support the achievement of business objectives
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders on manpower planning and resourcing matters to ensure optimal workforce deployment
Talent Acquisition & Recruitment
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes for all personnel types within the professional group, ensuring the selection and appointment of suitable candidates within required timeframes
- Develop and implement recruitment strategies that attract high-quality talent to meet current and future business needs
- Respond promptly to public enquiries regarding vacancies and recruitment-related matters, maintaining a positive external image
Employee Onboarding & Integration
- Conduct comprehensive first-day induction for new appointees, ensuring they receive essential information and resources to begin their careers successfully
- Facilitate the settling-in process for newcomers, providing ongoing support during their initial period of employment
- Ensure new employees understand organisational culture, policies, and procedures
Employee Relations & Support
- Serve as the primary point of contact for staff queries and concerns, providing timely and accurate responses
- Manage staff relations matters, fostering positive working relationships and addressing workplace issues as they arise
- Support internal customers across the professional group with HR-related matters
Exit Management
- Process resignations and departures in accordance with established procedures and timelines
- Ensure completion of all exit management requirements, including the timely processing of final benefits and entitlements
- Conduct exit interviews and gather feedback to inform retention strategies
Operational Excellence
- Manage operational aspects of human resource functions to ensure efficient service delivery
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with organisational policies and regulatory requirements
- Support various HR initiatives and projects as required
- Undertake additional duties and ad-hoc tasks as assigned by management
What we are looking for
- 5 to 9 years’ work experience in HR business partnering and recruitment role
- Strong business acumen with the ability to understand and support diverse professional functions
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective stakeholder management
- Problem-solving capabilities with a customer-service orientation
- Attention to detail and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to manage ambiguity and change
- Knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Workday system
